This picture reminded of the short story “Super-Frog Saves Tokyo” by Haruki Murakami because of the man and the big frog. The story was the topic of my CRA paper and the objective was to analyze the author’s critique of society through the story, as well as look at it through a Freudian lens. The Freudian concepts that were present in the story were wish fulfillment and the id, the ego, and the super-ego. Looking at these concepts helps the reader to better understand Murakami’s critique and view of society. It also helps to get a deeper understanding of his message and what each character in the story represents, as well as why they did the things that they did. All of these thoughts came to me as I looked at this picture.
