This picture reminds me of Sigmund Freud and his lectures because the image that comes into my head when I think of Freud is very similar to this picture. When Freud talks about the patients he has treated, I immediately visualize the patient on a bed and the doctor is asking them questions and trying to help them. When Freud talked about hypnotizing the patient, this picture reminded me of that because it could be the doctor trying to hypnotize the patient while the patient is lying on the bed. Freud also says to talk to the patient first of course to get an idea of what the patient might’ve remembered that caused the hysteria and to try to use the repression method to cure the patient. All of these ideas come to me when I look at this picture.
